The logo design uses the company initials to form a subtle but suggestive ‘unique waveform’ shape. The supporting brand identity graphics use the curve of headphone wires to create interesting divisions between content on flyer and poster designs.
Unique Melody earphones represent some of the finest custom in ear monitors in the world. They are custom moulded to your individual ear by way of a molding and casting process, much like getting orthodontic braces fitted, to provide the best possible fitting earphone, the best possible sound and to filter out all unwanted dangerous ambients and external noise.
Unique Melody UK Ltd, run 2 business students from London, obtained the exclusive UK license to sell these innovative products from Unique Melody China (http://www.uniquemelody.co/). They had the product – and now they needed to launch them here in the UK. They had the rights to keep the name and benefit from any equity the brand already had, but also carte blanche to create whatever look and feel they wanted.
The final logo design concept chosen uses the company initials to form a subtle but suggestive ‘waveform’ shape. I liked this idea as it created an irregular waveform, a ‘unique’ waveform, and it also kept the logo very simple – since this needed to be applied to small in-ear headphones, mobile apps, etc….
The supporting brand identity graphics that I came up with to support the launch used the curve of headphone wires to create interesting division between content on flyer and poster designs.
